LCK 2026 Finals Media Day: Three Teams Expose Their Real Worries

The three teams competing in the 2026 LCK Finals, Gen.G Esports, T1 and Hanwha Life Esports, held a media day at CHZZK LoL Park in Jonggak, South Korea. According to Inven Global, each team sent their head coach and two players to face the press. The atmosphere was cautious rather than provocative, with every side acknowledging the specific strengths of their opponents. Gen.G head coach Yoo Sang-wook explained why both rivals are difficult to handle. Gumayusi and Ruler agreed that Peyz has sharp teamfight instincts and the ability to generate plays from raw mechanical skill. Hanwha Life Esports reached the final stage after a comeback win against T1, closing the series 3-2 after trailing 1-2. Their mental composure impressed fans. Gen.G then beat Hanwha Life Esports 3-1 in the upper bracket final, with Chovy’s Vex performance drawing praise. Gen.G enters the final from the upper bracket with a bracket advantage, while T1 must climb from the lower bracket after losing to Hanwha Life Esports.
